McDermott Shafts
Wood, Carbon Fiber or Kielwood
New and Customized for your McDermott Cue
You are welcome to make a serious offer on any cue you see for sale on this web site.
Having your own custom shaft matched to your cue can most certainly increase your confidence. Having the right shaft is just as important.
And having a back-up shaft when you damage a tip or for those nights when the balls just won't seem to fall for your regular shooter. We can get your new shaft customized and matched to your McDermott cue.
Even if you need a shaft for a cue that is not McDermott, sometimes we can get that ordered for you with plain black collar. Either way, you will be set and ready to go!
With so many options to choose from, it can be overwhelming. Not to worry: We are available to speak with you about what you need or want and help with descriptions & explinations. You are not in this alone.
Read over the information here then contact Rabbit with your questions. Very glad to help when I can.
If you have a McDermott cue we can almost always get matched rings for your cue unless your specific rings are no longer available. On new McD cue orders, no problem to match the rings for you.
Your cue does not need to be a McDermott to order a shaft from us. As long as requested joint is one McDermott can get, no problem. You specify the joint. Many common joints available.
Always okay to contact me to talk about what you need and how to get it done.
Please Note: When ordering a new shaft, it can be important to match up the new shaft to the butt. When the McDermott factory builds a shaft, they want the butt in their hands to make sure of a proper fit.
If you do not send the butt and only send measurements, they will make the shaft but will not guarantee an exact fit.
I have some cues I am not comfortable handing to a shipping company to allow for possible loss or damage to a cue which can not be replaced.
The chance of joint match being off a little is better for me than losing my cue. This is something you need to decide for yourself. Does this make sense?
The best thing to do - if you do not have a micrometer - is take the cue to your local auto parts store.
They almost always have a micrometer at the counter and when not busy, will usually be glad to measure it for you. Would need THREE digits after the decimal point; measured in INCHES; not millimeters.
Again: If you have questions, reach out to and let me help make it as smooth & easy as possible.
McDermott's Wooden Shafts!
McDermott wood cues can be ordered custom to fit and match your McDermott cue. In some cases, can be matched to non-McDermott cues.
Because of the custom nature of each cue being individually specific, we almost never stock wood shafts; We order them from the McDermott factory. From time we might have an extra for one reason or another. Always okay to ask.
