Another Project with the McD D-Series

The first one took around five years to complete.

A few years back I was able to put together a first in the history of McDermott Cues: All 26 of the D-Series completely refinished, Stained Grey, and added a Lizard Embossed Leather Wrap.

When it was all done, what else to do but try it again. And I did.

This time the stain is American Cherry and the wrap is White with Double Brown Speck Linen.

It took a while to do it but finally finished. Today, April 30, 2025 I posted the last of the 26 cues needed to complete the second project.

It is important to extend a very sincere Thank You to all the people respondible for helping me along the way; Could not have done this project without you.

Special Recognition and Highest Respect to my friend, co-designer, supporter and McDermott enthusiast Jayme Cernicka; McDermott Customer Service Representative. Jayme has been with me on this project from before day 1 (while still in the planning stages) all the way to the end. His knowledge made a big difference when getting over speedbumps. I owe you buddy!

As of today, these are not for sale but sooner or later they will be; at least most of them. Might keep one or two of my favorites. So, for now join me in looking and enjoying: That's all I can do 'cause surely not about to chalk any of them!

I have started a list of who wants which cue when they become available for sale. You are welcome to reach out to me if you want your name on that list.

Here is the complete D-Series Brochure as distributed back in the mid to late 80s when these cues were new. These are the most sought after for collectable McDermott Cues. Mr. Jim McDermott signed and personalized this one to me.
